Colleferro

One of the main economic centres of the province of Rome, Colleferro is a lively and exciting city that has undergone a major residential expansion in recent decades.

Although it was founded relatively recently the city preserves many valuable indications of the past and visitors can visit the 17th century cathedral with a façade by Valadier, the remains of the castle and the Piombinara tower.

In the town there is also the Archaeological Museum of the Territorio Toleriense which displays finds from archaeological sites in the surrounding territory: important evidence of human inhabitation from prehistoric times until the Middle Ages.

Near the town there is the La Selva park in the area of Paliano, which covers 45 hectares and includes woods, with many attractive clearings and attractive lakes.
